Wine Whisperer's High Class Chuck

Curtis Winery 2005 Heritage Cuve "e" --- Santa Barbara County
The talented Chuck Carlson has created yet another delightful Rhone blend--46 percent Syrah, 23 percent Mourvedre, 17 percent Grenache, and 14 percent Cinsault--from the winery's estate vineyards.

Young, yes, but oh so drinkable with plush ripe blackberries and mocha notes that lead to flavors of wild, briary boysenberries, spice, and white pepper. It's impressive on its own, but also a great choice for a weekend barbecue steak or hamburger.

I've spotted the Curtis Winery Heritage Cuve "e" for only $18.
Listen to WW talk about this wine!
